Tell em more about terror Mr Home Secretary Pillai

Mr. Home Secretary GK Pillai, let me start with an admission. All these days I always looked at you like I would look at your current boss. It is a open fact that, I have nothing but contempt for P. Chidambaram. You know, the loud mouth ripped our money when he was the finance minister and now he is out killing us. I figured out that “ponga or death” joke is no laughing matter since P. Chidambaram took over as the Finance minister and now Home Minister. If you don’t know the joke, I will tell you that personally if ever we meet. Having re – explained my position, let me tell you what I want to tell you.

GK Pillai: He called terrorist a terrorist in their own den.

Few day’s back my friend emailed me, asking me “why do we send fools for negotiations”? He definitely meant you know whom. (In case you are curious what I wrote back to him, I wrote “for no particular reason, why?”) Then another of the folks I know asked me “then what else they talk, when they talk to a terrorist state?” (ok, I know you are curious for the answer I gave to him, I said “we don’t tell them anything, we understand their position why being a terrorist is being important to them and then make a joint statement so that they can show Indian masses that talks are going on.”) You can understand where does our sympathies and hope lies. I am sure your jealous boss will sack you if you become more famous then him. Isn’t the same thing happened with a jealous SM Krishna? Frankly, I think SM Krishna’s reaction was “uncalled for.”

You did the correct thing. This is the first “real” talk held between India and Pakistan since 26/11 Mumbai attacks. You went into terror den and called a terrorist a terrorist. What else do you call a terrorist? Do you know that you have achieved something that should win you a Bharat Ratna. You know that every thief does not want to be called a thief. That explains Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s reaction. If that Qureshi has equated you to the terrorist Hafiz Saeed of Jama’at-ud-Da’wah, then may god bless you, you are our man and the man who is the need of the hour.

Here is a request. Don’t get cowed (with all due respects to the cows in the establishment) down by the reactions. We don’t consider the reaction within the India establishment as a “reaction.” The real reaction is the one form the other side of the border. We would also like you to talk terror with some more nations like USA, Canada, UK and the Islamic countries. The US must have changed its stance because of 9/11, but, it needs to understand that it has given asylum to biggest terror groups of the world. Even if the terrorist are being bred in Pakistan, the brains live in US. Ditto with Canada, the UK and the other countries. Another point is that the US terror diplomats (for example the US state department), terror intelligence apparatus (for example CIA) etc which have created, nurtured and propagated terror outfits like Pakistani Army and ISI, are still alive and kicking. We need to make them understand that they have to dismantle this apparatus.

We pin all our hope on you.
