India – Dhaka train cancelled on 11th and 12th September

On a request from the Bangladeshi side, Indian Railways has canceled the movement of bi-weekly regular ‘Maitree’ Express train service between Kolkata (India) to Dhaka (Bangaldesh) on account of Eid, This train normally runs from Kolkata on every Saturday and Wednesday while in the return direction it departs from Dhaka every Sunday and Tuesday.
‘Maitree’ Express train will not run on 11th September 2010 (Saturday) from Kolkata and on 12th September 21010 (Sunday) from Dhaka to avoid operational complications arising due to non running of trains in Bangladesh on Eid days. Normal services of the train will resume thereafter.
