CIO100 Awards 2010 honors 100 CIO’s

IDG India’s CIO magazine has presented the 5th annual CIO100 awards in Bangalore on September 4, 2010 at the ITC Royal Gardenia. The glittering awards ceremony recognized 100 CIOs (Chief Information Officers) and IT leaders from leading Indian organizations for their exemplary IT initiatives that helped their organizations stay agile in the turbulent economy last year.
The five Special Award categories also felicitated the CIOs for extraordinary work in 5 particular domains. These special awards were part of the main nomination process and the five winners in each category are selected by the same independent editorial panel that judges the CIO100 awards. This year CIOs was recognized in the following Special Awards categories: Storage, Security, Infrastructure, Innovation and Green IT. In addition the CIO Hall of Fame Awards also recognized IT leaders who have won 4 CIO100 Awards while continuing with the same organization.
